Psychologists study human behaviour and the human mind. But what sort of positions can a psychologist hold? There are so many, it would be hard to discuss them all here, but a psychologist can work in a variety of fields.

Research Psychologists – may consider social, emotional, physical and cognitive aspects of human behaviour. For example, how humans cope in mental health settings, education, business, government and so on. A psychologist may work as an advocate for a child, person who has committed a crime, a person with mental deficiencies and so on.

Psychologists may provide training, design systems and conduct research. They may design experiments, questionnaires, observations, interviews, surveys and clinical studies.

The psychological field is obviously a wide and diverse field, which can be a fascinating one for someone who is interested in the study of the human mind.
